Somerville, MA Unit 2

This is the description for the second unit of a two-family gut renovation project located in Somerville, MA. The unit spans across two floors, each undergoing significant transformations to enhance functionality and design. Initially, the upper level of the unit lacked structure and design, offering a blank canvas for our team. The lower level featured a conventional layout, including a cramped eat-in kitchen, a dimly lit dining room, and a spacious living room with a small bedroom. To breathe new life into the space, we embarked on a complete gutting of the area. Our renovations began by raising the ceiling heights, allowing for a more spacious and open feel throughout. We reimagined the layout, extending the kitchen approximately a foot into the dining room to create a more accommodating and modern culinary space. Additionally, we opened up the dining room into the living room with a sizable opening, centered on the living room's bay window. This strategic design decision allows natural light to permeate the space, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Moving to the upper level, we embarked on a complete redesign. The highlight of this floor is the custom master suite, which encompasses a master bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a spacious master bedroom. In addition to the master suite, the upper level also features a second bedroom, completing the unit with a total of three bedrooms.
