For the second phase of the Somerville two-family gut renovation project, we undertook significant transformations to enhance the living space. In this particular unit, our focus was on creating an open and inviting atmosphere while incorporating modern amenities and functional design elements. To achieve this, we completely opened up the home's layout, allowing for seamless flow between the different areas. One of the key enhancements was the extension of the kitchen, which now boasts a larger footprint and features a spacious island—a perfect gathering spot for family and friends. In addition to the kitchen, we addressed the challenge of limited bathroom space. By extending it into the adjacent dining room, we were able to create a generously sized bathroom. This remodel includes a custom shower, a single vanity with ample storage, a toilet with proper head height, and even a linen closet for added convenience. To further elevate the overall ambiance, we raised the ceiling heights, lending an airy and more expansive feel to the space. Moreover, we upgraded all the utilities, ensuring that the home is equipped with modern and efficient systems. Throughout the project, it was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with the family. Their trust and enthusiasm fueled our drive to deliver exceptional results. They will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we are honored to have been a part of their renovation journey.
